Recently, I was made aware of the MEDFOS trojan on my machine by MS Security Essentials. It would not actually remove it, but it quarenteened it every time a new version was created (about every five minutes).
Anyway, I removed security essentials, and installed Norton Internet Security and ran a full scan. NIS removed several adware things, but nothing about MEDFOS.
Having installed NIS, I now do not get any messages about MEDFOS, but is NIS even looking? I see no references to this one anywhere in the NIS documentation or website.
What is the official Norton position on this trojan?
