Message monitoring not working in Android app

Hello, message monitoring isn’t working on my daughter’s Android 4.4.4 phone. It was (mostly) working until recently but now all I get is “Unable to retrieve activities” when I click on the Messaging tab. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app according to these instructions:

The phone is essentially stock standard and she’s using the default Android messaging app. Web and location supervision seem to be working just fine. Interestingly, when I go to House Rules and click the Messaging tab the “Last Contact” date and time correctly reflects that messages are being sent/received so Norton Family is somehow detecting the message send/receive event.

How do I fix this issue?
