I constantly get these messages in the system log:
com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.symantec.nav.migrateqtf[600]) Job appears to have crashed: Trace/BPT trap: 5
and the diagnostic log:
Process: MigrateQTF [395]
Path: /usr/bin/MigrateQTF
Identifier: MigrateQTF
Version: 12.5 (55)
Code Type: X86 (Native)
Parent Process: launchd [1]
User ID: 0
Date/Time: 2013-07-20 06:46:38.300 -0500
OS Version: Mac OS X 10.8.4 (12E55)
Report Version: 10
Crashed Thread: 0
Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000
Application Specific Information:
dyld: launch, loading dependent libraries
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /Library/PrivateFrameworks/SymDaemon.framework/Versions/A/SymDaemon
Referenced from: /usr/bin/MigrateQTF
Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SymDaemon.framework/Versions/A/SymDaemon: mach-o, but wrong architecture
Binary Images:
0x1000 - 0x4ff7 MigrateQTF (12.5 - 55) <BB9A9A9F-3FCD-CEB5-B5AA-0EA7B1EC2CFF> /usr/bin/MigrateQTF
0x8fe77000 - 0x8fea9e57 dyld (210.2.3) <23DBDBB1-1D21-342C-AC2A-0E55F27E6A1F> /usr/lib/dyld
Looks like SymDaemon framework is not compiled for x86, not PPC.
As the SymDaemon process does not use the SymDaemon framework, it shows in the losf output.
Also I constantly get this message from Mac OS 10.8.3 onwards (also happens in 10.7.4+):
Error 2 registering socket filter (com.symantec.fw.ac.at). Your computer may not be fully protected.
That causes the safe web feature to not display the checkmark by each verified web site in search results.
I've tried attaching the support info but it's too large to attach.
Any help?
