Hi.
I had the false positive detection happen in July. The files it removed were for my BIOS mother board update, my Windows Installer, my HP Update and other important functions for my PC. Some were .msi files that I can not get online from Microsoft. Unfortunately, before I found the thread here on the Norton Forums, I had major problems with updating windows, drivers and other things because of this.
I performed a system repair and even had to restore Windows to the day before. When I did this, Norton 360 automatically removed itself from my PC. So I went to my online account and reinstalled it, updated through automatic update, scanned and performed all necessary tasks.
THEN I found the information here yesterday about the "False Positive detection for Suspicious.Cloud.x after Norton product update" and I performed the first tasks listed to repair this mishap, which was the Intelligence Update, but when I went to restore the mis-quarantined files, there was nothing in "Quarantine." It had wiped my history clean with the reinstall.
NOW those files are still missing, my PC is not working properly and I can not get those files anywhere.
Is there some sort of Norton 360 back up for the history that I can access???
Is there anything else I can do, before I take a sledgehammer to my PC and NORTON for causing all of this headache, time and money??
Please help, I am beyond frustrated. I just want my PC to be functional again.
Attached is the report for the "False Positive detection for Suspicious.Cloud.x "
Thanks in advance!
Honey
