I am now encountering a problem with a missing NIS 2010 tray icon on boot-up. I also can’t launch NIS 2010 from the program files. When I do a shutdown after this has happened I get a ccSvcHst hanging task message. So far when I start up a second time after this has happened the tray icon appears and everything appears normal. This appears to be the same problem as observed with NIS 2010 v. 17.5 which a long thread in January/February 2010 and there is a link in this discussion to a HotFix patch. I am running NIS 2010 v17.7.0.12 on a machine with XP SP3. I downloaded the HotFix patch but it indicates that it was intended only for v17.5 and won’t run. Is there or can there be a HotFix patch for v 17.7 assuming this is the same problem or is there some other fix for this? Thanks. Foreman
