Hello, I have mistakenly bought a new Norton 360 code thinking it was the same as a renewal code, I would like to be refunded for the code, how do I go about this, thanks

Firstly, who did you purchase it from? From Norton or from a Store or OnLine Retailer? If you bought just a key then it is very likely illicit since I believe Norton does not permit the sale of keys on their own .... but if you bought a new package with a new key then that would be OK.
Secondly, purchasing a new copy is often much less expensive than purchasing a renewal from Norton on line ... And the key can be used to extend the subscription you have on the Norton 360 that is running on your PC now. BUT if you do this do not enter the key until a couple of days before your subscription expires since unlike a renewal using a new key wipes out unexpired time.
Let us know the background and we can help you and if it is different to the situations I describe and what you bought i legitimate Norton do have a money back warranty for 60 daays after purchase.
Thanks for the quick response, I purchased the entire Norton 360 package from the official Norton site, thinking that I could renew my existing package with this, however is just created a new set in which I can use the code on three other computers. I used the same email and installed on the computer, however as I thought it did not extend the length of my protection, what do I do from here, and would I be given a refund as this product has a 60 day money back guarantee. Thanks
Does your existing subscription need renewing at this time or in the very near future? Is the copy you bought identical to what you have purchased -- ie Standard or Premier ?
If so then the simplest thing will be to contact the Norton Online Support Team by the CHAT route as below that uses the computer keyboard and not a phone and ask them to tidy everything up.
They should be able to make it all look like you had just renewed it (although probably saving a bunch of money <g>) and add the new 366 days onto what was left on the old subscription when you overwrote it and so created a new installation.
If you had autorenewal enabled they can sort that out too and if you have been charged for that can make a refund either on the renewal or on the purchase.
To contact customer support Click on this link https://www.norton.com/chat and work on from there.
Please let us know how you get on ....
My subscription runs out in approximately a year but it would be nice to add on another year, thanks for all the help. It states that the chat response times are going to be longer than expected, however let's hope for the best, thanks!
Let us know how it goes .... sorry about the wait time.

Thanks for letting us know that CHAT sorted out the situation for you.
You know where to find us if you need help .... or can give it ....
