Detailed description: Since installing Norton 360, mobile data usage on my smartphone has been blocked. How can I unblock it?
PS. Hardware (Smartphone) is OK, WLAN/WIFI works, SIM card works (in different smartphone), restart without effect… Failure message: 'Anti virus software is blocking mobile data."
Anyone any idea?
What device and OS version are you using?
If you are using the VPN function, try turning it off and test.
Readmi Note 13. Turning off VPN doesnt kill the bug.
@Ruediger_Rentsch In your phone settings, in Apps check for Norton having been given the correct “permissions” to access what it needs to function correctly. Hoping that corrects the issue for you.

Thanks. Will try tomorrow.
I haven’t granted many permissions. But above all, I’m not sure which permission could restrict access to mobile data (if any)?
These are my settings on my Samsung Z-Flip 5 on Android 15 with UI 7.0 . What you see on your side may vary. IMA that I use my device on Wifi within my home network for than anything else so my data shows very low usage.

Thank you. Interestingly, the (app) permissions show me that the Norton app consumes a small amount of mobile data (2 MB per day), while at the same time I am informed that mobile data is blocked. All in all, this looks like a serious bug in Norton 360 to me.
Not even the hotline could solve the problem. This is clearly a problem with 360. After removing N360, the problem disappeared, but it reappeared after reinstalling.
Thanks for your post back and sharing your information. The screenshots I posted appear to validate the data usage as being inaccurate as well.

Check to ensure there is no other security apps installed on the device, including any non Norton VPNs. If you find anything, try uninstalling them and restart the device and test.
If the above does not apply, try uninstalling 360, restart the device and test to see if you can connect. If you can, then reinstall 360 again and test. It may just be something in your current installation that went out of whack.
