Module:3039 Error 1

Two days ago,  in my relative's computer,  the Norton antivirus (version 16.8.3.6) icon has a red x mark. The advance option is off. Once  we change it to ON nothing happens. Once the computer is restarted, the problem is solved but only for a few minutes. A window appears with this message:  "Module 3039 Error 1" and something about upgrading may fix the problem.

 

When we click on "Fix" on the antivirus, it says it can't be fixed. According to the security history  "SONAR advanced protection failed to load".
