Extreme novice speaking here, be patience please.
I had PC using XP SP1 backed up by Ghost 15. Hard drive died and cannot recover files directly and there are a few files I really, really would like to have.
I want to restore these old PC files to my laptop (OS Win 7 backed up by Ghost 15)
I have Ghost backups of PC on external drive which also has my replacedment laptop backup files, in different folders.
It seems possible to do what I want, but I need explicit directions.
Attempted changing recovery point for file restore and using *.doc to pull up what is available, but all I got were the template files that come with MS Word - not helpful. Completely baffled...
Help gratefully appreciated.
