The title says it all really. I turned on my computer just now and clicked on Windows Live Messenger as usual. Norton Internet Security’s SONAR detected it and deleted it. When I looked at the details the first thing that confused me was that it said it had “Fewer than 100 users in the Norton Community have used this file”. The application it removed was in fact the Windows Live Messenger application, not just another app with the same filename. I’m about to reinstall Windows Live Messenger just to be on the safe side, but has anybody got any idea what’s been going on here? If it’s a symptom of wider foul play, I’d like to know about it so I can take steps to secure my system. Thanks in advance ![]()
