hello, all --
i did a search for my inquiry (below) and found a thread that seemed to be related (http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=nis_feedback&message.id=10819&query.id=108896#M10819), but the "reply" option was grayed out, so i figured that i should start a new thread. i apologize if i have not come upon the right procedure! in that thread, a symantec/norton worker said that they were working on a fix for the problem described, but i haven't seen anything that seems to be relevant anywhere i've looked. on the other hand, i'm a newbie, so there may be lots of options that i haven't stumbled upon or known how to look for.
at any rate -- when i go to log in to some sites, a box at the upper left of the screen asks me to choose among several different login entries. i've ended up with several different login entries because sometimes i think i'm using the correct login for a site, and so i've had it saved, but then it turns out that the one i used/saved actually ISN'T the correct one, so i've tried another login, which has gotten saved, and eventually i hit the right combination (my memory is terrible and this usually happens with sites that i don't visit very much) and that login gets saved also.
but now i've got several logins listed as possibilities in the login choice box. how do i get rid of the incorrect ones?
as in the earlier thread, the "managing logins" list shows only one entry for the login information, but the login choices in the box on the screen offer several alternatives. is there a way to get the incorrect alternatives out of the choices box?
thanks very much for anyone who can help. i've cruised thru these forums, and there are so many kind and gracious people here!
