Must I always press "get started," upon launching Norton Family (parent mode)?

Under our Norton Security Premium License, I've installed Norton Family in child mode on my daughter's phone, a Galaxy S7 Active.  On my own device, a Galaxy S6 Active, I have installed Norton Family for Android (4.3.2.21) in parent mode.

Every time that I launch Norton Family on my device, I'm presented with a splash screen which reads, "Get Stared with Norton Family."  On that page, there is a single button - "Get Started" which I must press before I reach the parent mode interface.  Is there any way to bypass this splash screen?  Since there is only one option on that screen, it's safe to assume that I want to choose that option.

Thank you very much for the update and private message.

Our engineering team confirmed this is expected behavior as design when parent mode session times out.

We see your point and are planning to improve the user interface by voiding ‘Get Started’ page in a future release.

Below is a screencap of the splash screen that I see each time that I launch Norton Family on my device.  I must press "Get Started," before I see the parent mode interface.

In my original post, I failed to mention that I have already tried the following typical tech support suggestions, none of which solved the problem.

  • Log out / log on
  • Clear app cache / clear app data
  • Uninstall app / reinstall app
