My Auto-protect is off and ...you guessed it, fix is not working

Laptop With Windows 10

Norton INTERNET Security v22.7.0.76

Windows fast start is disabled

Ok so add me to the growing list of Norton INTERNET Security users who have the auto-protect cant be fixed issue.  This happened to me about 10 days ago after I ran a manual live update. Must have bumped me up to the v22.7.0.76. So after the live update was completed I had to restart the laptop which I did. All seemed fine. Had the green check mark on the Norton icon in the system tray. On or about the next day, all off a sudden message comes up saying “auto-protect off, your computer is at risk”. I go to follow the fix process and then get the message saying it cant be fixed. It gave some error message but I cant remember the number.

But when I look at the settings it shows auto-protect set to on, but the button is greyed out.

***Not sure if auto protect really is on and working and the error is a false indicator?

***Or is really auto-protect not working and I’m at risk?

Anyway, I haven’t used the laptop now for the last 10 days in fear that it is at risk.

Hoping there is a fix real, REAL soon as I see lots of people with this issue. Don’t want to do the uninstall/reinstall as that seems to not really do the trick

Norton please give us a real fix soon

Thanks
