When I click on my favorites to see my saved websites, instead of the small icon from the website, I just see the small globe

Also, I am using microsoft edge as my browser

I just started up Edge and saw the same you are seeing. What I did was click on one of the favourites to go to that page. Then I opened a new browser tab and the web site’s icon was displayed again.

It sounds like an update to Edge reset those icons.

Hmmm, didn’t work for me. Thank you though!

All: Edge is my backup browser and doesn’t get used frequently. So I manually checked for an update and wallah!! Version 149.0.4022.80 (Official build) (64-bit) installed. The previous version was version 149.0.4022.62 (Official build) (64-bit), this version did not have the glob icons as I checked before updating. So evidently the update changes something in Edge. I might add that, NOT ALL websites in my listing show the globe icon. It appears that, at least for me, the site I haven’t visited in some time need to update themselves by actually visiting a site. Opening Edge again I also see an ad banner in the lower center of the page. AI most definitely.

As a test, I visited one of the saved sites with the new icon to see if it refreshed. It did. So for me there is the answer to that issue, my side.

Edited: My daily use browser, Opera GX doesn’t have this issue therefore its specific to Edge from my perspective. Norton isn’t the issue for me.

At least one of those favorites I has to visit twice, then return to the new tab to see the change.
