Hi all. I have another problem here.
I used Norton Internet Security 2010 (have already purchased half of a year).
When i used the old laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-TZ47CN) with Core 2 Duo 1.3, RAM 2GB, Windows Vista Bussiness, NIS ran fine => Photoshop CS4 = OK
But when i used NIS 2010 on my new laptop:
Core i5 430M 2.27
2GB RAM
ATI Mobility HD 5470 1GB
Windows 7 Home Premium x86
Every game i ran on this system always had very bad fps(Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Tom Clancy's HAWX...).Even Photoshop CS4 was effected too(ran very slow). At first, i didnt know why and i re-installed the OS.
At first, the problem was solved, everygame was back to normal, but when i installed NIS 2010, it happened again.
I uninstalled the NIS 2010, re-installed NIS Notebook Edition but the problem still there.
I installed NIS 2011 beta, the problem still happened.
Then I uninstalled NIS 2011 again, run only Windows Defender => the problem of low fps is re-solved.
I don't know why NIS cause my game ran on low fps. I had already choose silent mode, and my laptop had already been cleaned by NIS on full system scan (0 risk detected).
PS: I uninstalled NIS by lates Norton Removal Tool at Symantec Home Page and restart each time.
I have tried out Microsoft Security Essential and Avira Antivir Presonal and it doesn't slow anything.
What could be wrong here? Before uninstalled NIS, i had tried to clean trashes on my laptop and it didn't solve the problem.
I know Norton is very light and it has minimum effect on OS (take low on RAM...etc), but it cause my games and my applications ran really slow on a new machine. Turn Off SONAR or Trust the program didn't solve it. Only way is uninstall NIS.
Does anyone here have the same problem as mine?
