My internet connect then freeze after installing Norton 360 on iPhone 12 mini

I have a newish iPhone 12 mini and installed Norton 360 on it just about 3weeks ago. I started to have Internet connection issues where it would occasionally connect then freeze me out. I’ve tried toggling mobile data on and off which sometimes seemed to correct the problem briefly. Also tried numerous full restarts which seemed to work sometimes. Frustrated I contacted my internet provider thinking it was a network problem as the phone connected ok via my home Wi-Fi . Vodafone spent a lot of time and patience having me go through many settings and testing at their end of things to no avail. They then suggested I put my sim ina different phone and check internet connection again. Connection was perfect. Solution for iPhone was to delete Norton app. Now works perfectly.

I understand your not wanting to fiddle with logs and settings. But that is the way Norton finds out what is causing issues. Different users have different usage habits, OS versions, network settings, and apps installed. Norton cannot test against the millions of combinations. The do the best they can with testing, and have to rely on users feedback to fix what they may have missed.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to coerce you. Just giving you a little insight.

Thank you for the reply.
I have removed the Norton app to cure the problem. I first installed it around the same time that Facebook and WhatsApp etc went down so i thought my connection problems may be related, so I continued trying to use my phone which was on ios14.8 . I installed ios15.02 hoping it may resolve the problem, but no, it didn’t . Out of frustration I removed Norton, problem solved and will manage without it. I don’t want to re install and experiment with the inner workings of Norton360 and logs etc. Norton should find theses bugs and fix it, not me , I have other things to do with my time

Did these connection issues start after upgrading to iOS 15?

As a test, try turning off the Web Protection feature in 360. If that resolves the issue, please send logs to Norton to help diagnose your problem.

Start by opening iOS settings on your device and scroll down to the bottom where the apps are listed. Tap on the Norton  360 app and tap to Enable Debug Log.

Now use your device until it causes the issue you are having. In your case, start by trying to access the network. When it will not connect, then turn off the Web Connection feature and test that you have a connection. Then shake your phone back and forth and a prompt will come up to send logs. Tap on Send Error Report and fill in any information requested. In your submission, please include "forum 'your username' " in the Case ID section of the report. Also include a link to this thread.

If you do send logs, please let me know and I'll notify my contacts to look for them.
