roughly a week ago, the computer tried to run a .exe.tmp file, I believe it was marked 780*.exe.tmp or something of that nature, after canceling it (10+ times) I restarted the computer. I did a quick scan, a full scan, and a power eraser scan.
the power eraser deleted that given file.
last night, The same behavior started, although this time marked as |Microsoft verification something. I let it in.
I have done a quick scan, a full scan and a power erase. Nothing but cookies detected as a threat.
However while scanning Norton blocked about 100+ intrusion attempts, page redirects, and had marked outgoing data.
One of the redirects was listed as a Bedep Trojan. Norton lists it as low risk, and claims to remove it with powereraser.
I am not seeing any headway, the computer has been slowed to a crawl, and I see no sign that it is working.
Norton just continuously stops intrusions, and page redirects.
I think I am in trouble. Thank you all. I am on the alternate computer right now.
