I have had an awful time since installing 360 this past Monday with at least 7 agents. First, Windows Update would no longer run as it was blocked and no one could give me any solutions at Symantec so I finally hit the Reset key on the Manage Firewalls page and this did the trick it seemed. I also could not see any network as a message kept telling me the computer was not online but I obviously was and no analyst could figure this out either even taking over my computer via remote connect. After the reset firewall was hit the network also appeared but with the white X in the red circle though status shows protected.
Today when I logged on it showed white check mark on green background so I thought I was home free. I went back on later on after shutting off the computer and we are back to white X on red background.
I am running Windows Vista Home premium SP 1 64 bit edition, 4 GB RAM 640 GB HD, Duo core processors.
Any idea what is going on here?
P.S. I am leaving my laptop with Interenet Security 2008 which has no problems and shows the network correctly. I will just have to pay for a seperate license for that when the trial expires so I at least do not have to go through these install problems again.
Thanks!
Both Norton 360 v2 and Norton Internet Security 2008 support Windows Vista 64-bit, though some features for Norton 360 v2 will not be available (right click scanning, widget). Thanks!
This appears to be the same issue as reported here:

Please post all replies to the above mentioned thread, and I will close this one. Thanks!
It rather looks from this message a while back that Norton 360 does not support VISTA 64 bit although this message says that NIS 2008 does.
I note that the Norton product page on System Requirements does not specify anything about 64 bit for either product ...
Hang on for one of the Norton Staffers (names in red) to confirm this
