My Norton account does not show my products listed online. I do not why since I'm using the same email for Norton Online Security. The product key that I got was from a relative who had an extra product key and so I do not have a Norton Cd.
I would to re-installed my Norton on this computer after I format it, due to some problems with the pc. Since I do not have a CD or the Product isn't showing on my online accoutn I am afriad that I may lose it. I am also wondering if it is possible to transfer my Norton to a different computer without losing my subscription?
When you get a key from someone else (licitly -- and here it is in the family so technically it's OK I understand) that KEY is logged into HIS account under his email address and password so if you need to access the account you have to get those from him.
If he's used a password for HIS Norton Account that he does not want to share with you because like many he uses it elsewhere then ask him to consider changing just the password for that Norton account and sharing it with you. I have done that for my account where a family member out of town shares once activation.
Once you sort that out you should have no problem in reinstalling after a clean up of your computer or a crash. You can either download from the Norton Account which gives you the latest version already activated so you don't have to enter the key or you can ask here for a link to download from, especially if you do NOT want the current version for some reason.
Please let us know what version of Norton 360 you have installed and whether it is the Standard or the Premium version. For the version click on Support / About and you will find it in the format nn.nn.nn.nnn wheer n is a number form 0 to 9 .
Please also say whether you use the Identity Safe for passwords and logins.
Yes, if you stop using the activation on one computer you can install it on another computer without using up a new activation. If there's a problem when you do this let us know since it can be sorted out.
