Hi, I want to know if there is anyway that I can remove TRIAL products in my Norton Account.
As you can see from the attached, some how there were 4 "TRIAL" version of NIS in my account which I do not need and I wished to remove them..... I do not want to accidentally renew.
My original copy of the NIS is the one that supposed to expire in Jan 19, 2011....this is the only one I want to keep
You see, I got another PC and installed the trial version of NIS2010....of couse I used my original key....but some how there was an error and I had to remove NIS, however, I reinstalled the same trial but I managed to get it up and working.....
I really do not have any idea how come there are so many of the trial version.
Okay, I will contact Norton Customer Service but I hope there are no problems to remove them.
P/S :- Is there another way to download and REINSTALL NIS without getting the TRIAL Version of NIS from Symantec Website?
You can download the full version of NIS 2010 from here. However, this link is not yet updated to the latest version so you would still have to run Live Update to get the latest update.

Hi Sea_Monster
There isn't any way for you to remove these entries from your Norton Account. They are a record of what Norton Products you have installed in the past.

Please let me know how it goes.
Thanks
Allen
Dear Allen,
Thank you again.......I usually download directly from Symantec caused, I do not want to be left unprotected by hunting for the correct link to download.
I don't remember.....but is there a DOWNLOAD link in the Norton Account? It would be good to have it there and not download a TRIAL version......everytime I wished to reinstall NIS.
It is understandable that the download version need to be updated.

I don't think even Customer Support can purge the list/history of items from the Norton Account. We had this issue in the German Norton Forums; the poster contacted Symantec Customer Support and was told that the history could not be deleted. If you know German, then you can read this over here ;-)
I myself, when I purchased the wrong Norton product and then asked for a refund, was wondering why said product was still stuck in my Norton account. Customer Support told me that they could not remove it from the list.

Huh!!! Isn't that really silly.....that Customer Services cannot remove those un-needed items......It just cannot make any sense.
Anyway, I will try to contact them this week and post the results here.
It maybe no biggie.....but just cannot stand looking at those items....rather confusing. Maybe that is the case, Symantec wants to be confused.
