I have run the scan 3 times and every time it quits at the same spot on my diagnostic report... does this mean I have a virus?
Without being 100% certain, it is most likely this is not a virus, but rather an anomaly in the software. Can you try disabling scan of compressed files, and see if it still crashes? Which version of NAV are you using?
Also if you can post a crash log that could be useful (or if you want, I can contact you privately with an address to send the report).
I can send you the crash report! Just tell me where to go, and Im not exactly sure which version im using.
When you run Norton AntiVirus, you can find the version in the About Box ("About Norton AntiVirus" under the Norton AntiVirus menu). If you are using 12.x, there is a menu item under Help titled "Gather Support Information" which will gather crash reports and other info. If you are running an older version, you can use this link to get an equivalent tool:
