Hi Norton Community !
I where browsing around today and then suddenly when trying to send a message to the websites moderators conact us link on a site i trusted i got this message from Norton.
This is what my antivirus said. intrusion atemps by allaboutsmybian.com was blocked.
(IPS warning name) Web Attack: Red Exploit Kit Redirect.
(Attacking Computer ) (174.133.247.66, 80)
It also said this.
The network traffic from
matches the signature for a known attack.
The attack came from \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME4\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\GOOGLE\CHROME\APPLICATION\CHROME.EXE
I got this attack when i where trying to use a contact us page/function on a website i trusted.
I read some about this Web Attack: Red Exploit Kit Redirect, on symantec.com/attack signatures
and it said i should do a live update, a full system scan, and then run norton power eraser,
i did all of this and nothing came up.
Should i do anything else? it said identify suspicous files aswell not sure how i do this when it came up with nothing.
(PS: i am also suprised by how fast norton power eraser scanned the whole computer under 5 minutes,is it supose to go that quick)
Cheers
varanassi.
