Let me begin by saying I get my Norton product for free through Comcast, and they are only offering NIS 2010 currently.
I am infected with something, it's sent out Spam from my Gmail account today. I am currently at work, and when I clicked on the link in the email that the Spam email is trying to send out, my network security at work wouldn't load the page because it is "malware".
That said, I have been having trouble with my Norton not starting on my computer for a week at least. When I boot up the computer, Norton doesn't seem to load. My windows will pop up a message saying "Norton has reported that it is turned off, would you like to turn it on?, I click yes, and nothing happens. So I click the desktop link and nothing happens. I have removed and reinstalled NIS 2010 repeatedly and the same thing happens. It seems to install fine, I run LiveUpdate, software wants to reboot after updates installed, and after it does, same problem Norton won't start up. I have downloaded Power Eraser twice and run it, but it says it can't find a problem. I have also performed a scan without the LiveUpdate updates, but nothing is found. Very frustrated! Anyone have any suggestions?
