It has recently stopped showing any activity at all, when just last night we were on the computer that it monitors on Facebook and watching music videos. I have not turned off any of the settings for the web or search. It's just not showing any of the activity at all.
When your PC is on and booted up to Windows, please check by the system clock that Safety Minder has loaded up as well. If yes, a little yellow icon with a paw should be there.
If it's not there, you should try to uninstall, and then reinstall Norton Safety Minder.
Let us know the results.
I encountered this same problem today. I just installed online family for the first time yesterday and it worked like a champ, but the last time it recorded any activity on my kids' computer was at 3 this morning (when the computer was in lock-mode, which I found strange) and my daughter has been on the internet all day and no activity is being recorded. I looked in the system tray and the pawprint icon is there, but went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled. It appears to be working again now, but I did notice some oddities that might be helpful in identifying problems.
I turned on time limits on one of my kid's accounts on the website and set it to be available from 8am-9pm. However, at about noon, NOF popped up on my daughter's computer telling her that her computer would be turned off in 15 minutes. I couldn't figure out why it was doing that, so I turned the option off and decided to leave it to Windows to limit the computer access (I was running both the windows 7 parental controls and the norton time limits at the same time). Then when I disabled NOF on my daughter's account in order to uninstall and reinstall, I noticed that the timestamp on the notification on the website said it was 2:30am on the 30th when it was actually 8:30pm on the 29th. Since reinstalling, the timestamp has changed to the correct time, but it does appear that the program hit some kind of time-keeping glitch before the reinstallation. Perhaps this is related to the mysterious 3am website access that occurred on my daughter's account while the computer was in locked mode?
HI tlmorganfield,
Could you post a screen shot of the Time Settings page so we can check into the issue?
Thanks,
Katie
