Wanted to reply to "My refund went exceedingly well but..." from 7 Aug 2023, as I've had the very same experience. The difference being I'm based in Ireland.
Wanted to cancel subscription and get a refund. Any links I could find in either the program itself, the website, or the links on my bill all had me running in circles. Finally I looked at the bottom of the bill where there is a phone number "United Kingdom +44 (0) 20 7616 5600". This number put me in touch with customer service and they were able to arrange for a refund. Happy days!
Quite disappointed with Norton leaving you in this situation. A good website with all the available links and chat options, should be able to guide you to either a correct phone number or chat help for customer service.
