This has been asked before but why does in Norton safe web safeweb .norton .com/account/profile?tab=2 my sites when I attempt to verify our website (which is currently being blocked) display this message “This site can’t be reached. Let’s try again later?” so I cant verify my website.
The site is reachable.
Our website uses Cloudflare but I have temporarily disabled it to test if Cloudflare is blocking the verification check process and no luck. Checking the logs on the site does not show any bots or traffic from Nortons at the time of checking so I cant whitelist the checking ip if that is an issue.
Has anyone had experienced this and managed to get their site “reached” after encountering this issue.
Safe Web show your site as “blacklisted”. I have submitted a false positive report on your behalf, the results should be back to me within 48 hours, hopefully less.
Thank you SoulAsylum - I had submitted a false positive a week ago but not change. Hence why I am attempting to verify ownership via the norton site - I see another person had a similar issue but their site was cleared before the issue i mention above was resolved. Is it because the site has been blocked by nortons then it wont show in the verify site area I wonder?
You’re most welcome, the backend of Norton services can get overloaded or just be not available for a myriad of reasons. Using adblockers, using a VPN and just even the browser being used. For instance although not related to the issue here, I get 200 MB upload speeds at Oookla speed test for my Gigabit network, using Opera GX and all its limiters set to off. Using MS Edge I get 980 download and 916 upload. Different browsers do different things. In my case there is an issue with Opera GX that needs addressing. That being said we most likely won’t know what the reason is for the site not working for you. Norton never tells us that part.
Hi @Selvakumar.S, thank you for looking into this and whatever you have done has made it now work for me and I can verify successfully. Hopefully other site owners do not have this happen in future thanks to your fix.
