Hi
My dad runs NIS 2009 at his office. They have 5 PCs. I bought him a 5 PC license. He runs NIS 2009 on 5 PCs. Mysteriously recently his machine carries on complaining that his trial has expired. When he clicks the activate link in the NIS 2009 UI it tells him that the maximum number of activations has been reached. They have been running NIS 2009 for months now with no issues and have probably more than 2 months left. I logged on to the mynortonaccount.com website and saw that it has changed and now lists the products keys, how many machines it can be activated on and then how many activations are left. The problem is that this information is wrong. I have a lot of valid keys. Some have reached the max activation limit and some haven't. When I look at mynortonaccount.com it says that those keys still have activations left when they don't. Sigh. I have mailed Tech support about my father's key and hopefully they should reset the activations and help me out. What I want to know is what is up with mynortonaccount.com. I really like the new UI and the fact that I can see more details but they are totally wrong.
If I could be cheeky and ask for a feature at the same time? I would love to see which machines are using which key on mynortonaccount.com. Then I want to be able to go in and move keys from one machine to the next. Prevx (www.prevx.com) have a really cool myprevx section that let's a user do just this. As I often format my machine and make extensive use of Virtual Machines I would love the ability to move license around. I hate having to get in touch with technical support for them to increase the number of activations I have left.
