Every time on system boot for the past week , after a very long boot time came the message - Windows can't connect to the system event notification service - this stopped me logging into my user account , and my admin account was as slow as a snail on crutches , shutdown was impossible so i had to force this . After reading about the problem online , anti virus seemed to be the common cause . I tried reseting - Netsh Winsock Reset - and this didn't fix the problem , and knowing for a fact i never got this with N.I.S 2012 i uninstalled and reinstalled good old faithful N.I.S 2012 and my computer now works fine again with great speed .
I will never install N.I.S 2013 again .
Has anyone else had this issue ? would be very interested to know .
