Hi,

This is a follow-up to clarify a pattern I have observed over the last couple of days. I have Outlook 2007 set to launch automatically (via a shortcut in the Startup folder) each time my PC boots up. Each time Outlook 2007 starts this way, the AntiSpam toolbar is missing.

I can restore the toolbar manually, without causing Outlook to report errors, via these steps:

1)      Go to Tools | Trust Center (as Vineeth suggested— thanks again!).

2)      Click the [Add-ins] button on the left side of the Trust Center form, and select “Norton Antispam Outlook Plugin” from the list on the right.

3)      Click the [Go] button at the bottom of the form, next to “Manage COM Add-ins”.

4)      Clear the checkbox next to “Norton Antispam Outlook Plugin” in the list of available add-ins.

5)      Close the “Manage COM Add-ins” dialog and restart Outlook.

When Outlook reopens, the AntiSpam toolbar appears and functions correctly. If I shut down Outlook again without rebooting my PC, the toolbar reappears as expected. (I tried this twice in a row.)

If anyone has an idea about how to keep the toolbar from disappearing each time my PC reboots, I’d greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks,

Joe
