Hello,
This is my first post here.
I have N360, version 3.0.0.134, on a Vista 64-bit computer.
The program is claiming that I have fully used my 2.0 GB of online storage, and that I need to buy more storage. However, when I check to see how much I have told it to store, the total adds up to only about 148 MB. What gives? I don't understand, and it's not clear how I can check the online "drive" to see what's in there and maybe delete stuff to make room. I just can't figure out why the huge discrepancy between the space it's supposed to have used up, and the space it thinks it has used up.
Please let me know what I can do (other than buying more storage, which I don't need or want). Is there some way to access my online storage to see what it thinks I have in there, as opposed to what I have told it in the settings?
Any helpful suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi JorgeA,
N360 will count any file that is restorable towards your used quota. This includes any file that has been backed up using N360 and not explicitly purged from the backup set. Even if you only have ~150 MB selected now it is possible that you had more selected previously.
If you would like, I can have a look at your account and fix your quota if it has somehow got out of sync. Send me either a PM or an email with your N360 product key or serial number and we'll go from there.

Edit: oh right, and as an extension of the above: in order to figure out what you have backed up the best way is to open up the restore pane and see what N360 thinks you have available for restore.

Hi Vineeth,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I clicked on the link you provided and got a warning that I was leaving the Symantec website. However, when I clicked on the button to proceed, nothing happened. May have to try this off the Symantec site.

Hi Scott,
I may have to take you up on the offer. I opened up the restore pane as you suggested, and all it says that I have available is two sources, adding up to 148 MB.
A few months ago I did notice that it was backing up a bunch of stuff I didn't need to have backed up, so I went in and unclicked them. But even though I no longer see them in my online drive, apparently they're still taking up space there.
Is there some way to erase (obliterate) files from the online backup, so that their space becomes available again?
Thanks!

Hi Vineeth,
An update. I logged on to nobu.backup.com separately from this page, and was able to get a listing of the files that are backed up. They match the files that I had clicked on to back up some time ago, which add up in size only to 142.6 megabytes.
Also, for some reason I have two "Jorge-PC" categories, which appear to be identical. But no matter how you cut it, there's no way that the listed files could add up to 2 GB or that my online storage could be full. Even if we doubled 143 MB (and I'm not sure if that figure already includes the duplicate), it's still only 286 MB.
Does this help you to pinpoint the problem?

The best thing you can do is to send your Norton Account information to Scott with product key and serial number.
Vineeth--
Thanks, Vineeth. I'll do that.

Jorge,
I've sent you a PM regarding your issue. Feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Scott,
Please forgive me, but I'm new at this and I don't know where to look for a PM or how to retrieve it.
Thanks for your patience!

JorgeA,
Hey no trouble. Private Messages show up at the top of your screen here in the Norton Community. There's a bar that will have your forum name and a couple options related to the forum and at the far right it should say 1 Message (1 new) with a little envelope icon (I'm not crafty enough to add the image like some others). Let me know if you have any trouble tracking it down.

Hello again,
I figured out where the PMs are to be found and opened. Thank you very much!!
