N360 early automatic renewal - An attempt to rip off?

It's going to be the second time, I'll renew my N360 subscription. So far, I have been satisfied.

It is suspicious, though, that Norton wishes to renew automatically almost a month earlier than the previous one would expire.

I have seen that others have complained about losing a month because of something like that in a different thread.

Is it true that with an early automatic renewal, one would lose the remaining days on the previous subscription, WITHOUT prior warning?! If yes, then it is a nasty practice for such a big company, trying to take advantage of costumers.

No, I would not want to contact costumer service, to have them rectify it!

The renewal SHOULD automatically continue once the previous one expires, because that would be a FAIR thing to do.

What do you people think?

A RENEWAL adds to the current subscription (it extends it).  You can only get a renewal from Norton online.

If you buy a new subscription (purchase a new copy of your current product) then that new license would REPLACE the current subscription (and you would lose any days left on the current subscription).
