I am running N360 version 21.6.0.32 on a Dell Optiplex Pentium 4 @ 3.2Ghz with 2.99GB of RAM under Win XP Professional with SP 3.
When I open a new document/webpage/application, N360.exe goes into overdrive, consuming 95-100% of the CPU for about 20-40 seconds before returning to normal and allowing me to use the application or document. My main use (over 95%) of the PC is MS Word (Office XP).
It does not happen on my Laptop which is a very similar spec.
I assumed it was a bug in N360 and was waiting/hoping for a fix via the regular updates, but is has been going on for several months now with no signs of a fix.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?
Are there any other programs in the diagnostic report which could be causing the problem?
I know that the Blackberry Manager program is very flaky and does not work properly, but I have tried uninstalling that and it doesn’t make any difference.
Is N360 no longer suitable for single core processors? And if so should be looking for an alternative product (I have 96 days subscription left)
