Hello,
I have an issue with having backup sets that I cannot access. After the latest upgrade to v5, 360 decided that it just needed to track the Default set.
So currently:
- 360 shows 1 set from main computer
- Norton Backup Drive shows 2 sets from main computer
- Nobu.bakcup.com shows 6 sets from main computer (or should I say 6 computers as it shows the name of the computer rather than the current backup set names).
Is there a way for me to access the files of or delete the sets that show up on Nobu? As the options 'Backup now' & 'Options' are blacked out which I suspect is normal but wanted to mention it in case it is not.
To Backup Dev's: This is an ongoing issue for 2 or 3 of the latest upgrade (v3, 4, 5)
Also for people that have an issue such as this that may need to keep certain backed up sets but is hard for them to distinguish as Nobu shows the computer name each time this occurs I would suggest something such as Nobu listing when each listing was created or the last time it was updated or something some such to make it, perhaps easier to distinguish between them as the only other solution I can think of is to rename each computer before doing an upgrade.
Thank you much,

Hello DickEvans for your reply.
I am not certain what else I can add to the above information other than my old rig is running on a WinXp platform.
One correction I should have made was toward the start of my 1st message I should have stated that the NEW default set is the only one I see in the UI rather than simply stating I can only see the default set in the UI.
My main question to figure out how to handle extra sets/data backed up and taking up extra space is to find out if there is any way to delete data and/or sets from any other source other than the Norton Backup Drive?
Take care,

If you open windows explorer can you see the backup drive? If you can when you click on it do you see a folder N360_BACKUP? When you click on that can you see the various folders? They are each have a creation date. You should be able to delete the older ones as needed.
Let us know how it goes
Hope this helps
Yes sir. Explorer does indeed show the various drives including Norton Backup Drive which shows two backups from the main computer (while I am on the main computer) and a backup from the 2nd computer.
However your message regarding the N360_Backup folder has me slightly perplexed for two reasons.
1) When I click on the Norton Backup Drive it then shows the backed up computers (I think this is the proper way to describe that page as it says ({name}on secure online storage)) and clicking on any of those takes you to the drive(s) that the data is backed up from.
2) Their are two directories located on both partitions of the one harddrive that is in the main rig that are named N360_Backup. Both of these folders appear to be empty. Although the location of the N360_Backup sub-directory is interesting as it is in the \windows\system32 sub-directory.
This is why I am interested to know if there is any other way to delete data from the backup outside of the Norton Backup Drive.
Have a good week,

I may have missed a point here. Are you backing up to a drive in your possession or to the online server? My 360 backup is an external USB HDD. This may be where we are seeing different things.
Ah, my bad. It's when I stated #2-about Norton Backup Drive, Huh? Crud, I could have stated that differently. Yes you are correct, the backups are all done on-line. I've actually never done it any other way.
But that is also why I've been asking about whether I could delete files from Nobu.backup.com which apparently is also n360.backup.com.
I appreciate your patience and apologize for any misunderstanding that I might have caused.
Take care,
