Recently I started having trouble downloading .exe files on my Mac.
The download would consistently drop after just a few KB.
I have done some basic troubleshooting and I believe that I have traced the issue to having the NAV Vulnerability Protection active, As soon as I disable VP i am able to download .exe files again. Re-enable it and they fail...
No NAV warnings are shown when this happens and nothing is noted in the NAV applications Activity Log viewer or Console.
Tested with Safari 5.1.1 and Firefox 7.0.1

The state of NAV AutoProtect is not significant, But if Vulnerability Protection is active the issue occurs.
