I really need some help!!!  I am trying to upgrade from Norton Antivirus 2007 to 2008.  I followed instructions for installing NAV08, and during the installation (during the “Installing Symantec Network Drivers” part) the installer froze, and my wireless internet connection will not work anymore.  I used the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall (then my wireless connection worked) but when I tried to reinstall, the wireless gets messed up, and the installation wizard doesn’t complete.  I have wireless internet connection only when I uninstall NAV, and everytime I install it, the wizard gets hung up on the “Installing Symantec Network Drivers” part, and my wireless shuts off.  My laptop won’t even recognize that I have a wireless set up when NAV is trying to be installed.  Can someone puh-lease help me get NAV installed AND get my wireless connection to work while it is installed?  Thanks!!!

I downloaded it from the NAV/Symantec site.  I have Windown firewall, which I turned off per instructions from Norton to install the product.

So you tried the Norton Removal Tool

Did you try running a reg cleaner before reinstalling again?

No, the only thing I ran was the Norton Removal Tool from the help page.  Where can I download a registry cleaner?

You can try ccleaner. www.ccleaner.com

Where did you download the NAV from?

What firewall are you running?
