Hello all!
I've got a system with a fresh install of windows xp pro sp2 with just palm and office installed on it. While installing NAV 2008 the system will get to about 17% on downloading Liveupdates and just close. No error message. The event log shows that the process installed but there are no files in the c:\Program Files\Symantec folder. I've tried the install with out using LiveUpdate but that has it's issues as well. Install get's to about 20% then reports that there was a error and it's trying to recover. Then a "LiveUpdate Engine COM Module has encountered a problem and needs to close." window pops up about 20 times. Setup reboots the computer same window pops up another 20 times then setup fails. After that if I try to run SymNRT I get the same windows 20 more times. If I delete the c:\program files\Symantec and c:\program files\common file folders then SymNRT will run without errors. I've rebooted after each install, used SymNRT in safe mode. Please help!
Could you confirm if it is the N.AV install or LiveUpdate Updates that is having this Error?
Do you get any Error Messages? If so, what Numbers are they, e.g. L.U.0010 (just made the Numbers up)?
