NAV 2009 completely disabled my computer

I installed norton antivirus last night and it found 8 viruses after a complete scan. I selected to have NAV 2009 fix the issues. Treatment for the viruses seemed to go fine as it came back with a message saying all issues had been fixed. My computer, however was acting extremely slow. I tried to reboot it and nothing. The computer now will not even boot up to the bios page. The power comes on, lights flash for about 2 seconds and then nothing. Screen remains black, power light remains on, but no HD activity or anything. I tried booting from a Linux live disk, nothing. The disc spins up a bit and then spins down, but nothing loads into ram. I also tried booting from a linux live thumb drive, again nothing. I read another thread on the forum that is similar to this, but there does not seem to be a solution so I am posting it again. Hopefully someone can help.
