I recently upgraded from NAV 2008 to NAV 2009 after being offered the upgrade under my subscription agreement. Before upgrading, I was able to run scheduled system scans without any errors. However, since upgrading, if I initiate a Full System Scan using a scheduled event, the scheduled scan uses 100% of one of my two CPUs and gets stuck (i.e. scanning file "x" freezes on a file) part way through the scan. I suspect, but haven't been able to confirm, that the problem is somehow related to having multiple users logged into the PC at the time when the scan initiates. For example, the problem does occur if a scan initiates from a scheduled event while the computer is idle, but more than one user is logged. I haven't tested many scenarios other than to confirm that a manual scan after a clean boot runs without errors, but scheduled scans always lock up NAV, requiring me to log out of all accounts and log back in or restart Vista. Under NAV 2008 scheduled Full System Scans worked fine regardless of whether multiple users were logged in at one time.
I also run Norton Ghost 12 (in case someone believes that is relevant) and was running Ghost 12 with NAV 2008 without any problems.
Any thoughts as to how I might get NAV 2009 to run scheduled scans without locking up would be welcome :-)
