NAV 2009 installed, SONAR detected & removed needed file ( gethostip.exe false positive)

My client installed Norton Anti Virus 2009. The UPS software then stopped working with error 53670 - something about "DNS lookup failed". So he checked the NAV history and saw that gethostip.exe was "detected by sonar" and removed. Sounded like that could be the problem, so I asked him to try to restore - which he did right from within the NAV console (glad that it was an option!) and the UPS application is working again. That file is part of the UPS software. I understand that many other applications also use a similar/same file.

So our question is, how do we stop NAV from removing that file again? Is there a setting that can be configured in NAV to exempt a file from future meddling?

In settings, there are file exclusions.

This process has been added to a list of valid applications that gets downloaded to each user's system.  Could you please verify that the client has the system connected to the network, and has updated the Norton AntiVirus product?  This should correct the problem.
