One final niggle that I have with NAV 2010, which drove me nuts recently was with Advanced SONAR detection.
I write software for a living, a fair bit of which results in Windows .exe files that do all kinds of interesting things with the filesystem, network and many of which run as services. You can imagine my annoyance at having just fixed a problem with one of my bits of code and fired it up as a service to test it when NAV cuts in an quarantines my program. Cue much cursing and hair pulling.
Having manually restored the files from quarantine (and they sometimes don't appear there until after a reboot if they are services) I marked them as user-trusted. This seemed to work, but of course they change every time I add something or fix something. In the end it seems that the only solution is to turn off Advanced SONAR Detection.
Has anyone else had problems like this and what did you do?
Many thanks,
Robert
