This is what NAV 2010 Help says: 1) Full System Scan: Checks all boot records, files, and running processes to which the user has access. 2) Drive Scan: Scans the removable drives or any drives on your computer.
Question # 1: if I run a Full System Scan from the Settings Menu, is everything scanned regardless of exclusions, i.e., are the exclusions ignored?
Question # 2: if I run a Custom Scan (manual or by timed schedule) of selected drives, are the exclusions really considered?
Question # 3: if I run Custom Scan of selected drives, can I add scanning of registry entries, processes and browser items, like what is included in the Full System Scan? If yes, how is this done?
Question # 4: can I exclude scanning of compressed files in a Custom Scan, even though compressed file scanning is set to on in the settings menu? If yes, how? I have checked the scan command line switches and found no solution.
Thanks!
p.s. a longer version of this query has been submitted in an earlier posting, but no takers. Too long, I gather...
