NAV Mac v12.6 Freezes Mac if you scan Bootcamp/Windows 7 with Compressed Files

This is on a MacBook Pro 17" (mid 2010) with OS X 10.8.5, fully updated, and 4GB of memory.

I have a BootCamp partition with Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, fully updated.  Normally I do my System Scans with that BootCamp included and with Compressed Files included.

After the latest update of the NAV Mac engine to v12.6 that no longer works.  It gets about halfway through the BootCamp partition and then it freezes the Mac UI hard.  You can't even bring up Force Quit.  The only escape is to forcibly power off the Mac.

It always freezes on a Compressed file -- however the particular files are different and even of different types.  Earlier files of each such type go through just fine.  If you scan only the Mac partition itself, the scan works even with Compressed files.  If you scan the BootCamp partition with Compressed files turned off that also works.

Evidently the new scan engine is consuming some resource (memory leak?) when scanning the BootCamp partition with Compressed files, and it eventually runs out of that resource, which wedges the Mac.

Pretty nasty!
