I posted this in the wrong area, so I'm re-posting here
I know that NAV2009 does not contain the outbound firewall
I currently have NAV2008
If I renew the subscription for NAV2008, will I still get firewall updates and internet worm protection updates for the NAV2008 product?
I'm wanting to wait unil the2009 products hit the store shelves, so I'm thinking of renewing my NAV2008 subscription , but want to make sure that if I continue to use NAV2008 for a few weeks, I'll still be protected with the inbound firewall and defs and all that NAV2008 contains and that has been protecting me the last year
Hi NY1986,
Phil is quite correct, but I am curious. Since you have been considering moving from NAV2008 to NIS 2009, is there any reason why you are not going to NIS 2009? Still have doubts about the Firewall?
It is truly an awesome product this year!
Best Wishes
Phil D I will still move to NIS2009. Just waiting until it hits the stores
Okay. But it's easy to download it and then you can save the installation package to your computer or a CD if want a "permanent copy".

Correct they cant make it more easy
if you renew 2008, then all functions of that program will continur to function. All the renewal does is allow you to continue to update the def files and get program updates that apply to the 2008 package. It will not automatically update you to 2009. You would have to download that and replace the 2008 program with the 2009 program. At that point all the 2008 features would be replaced with 2009, but not before.
