Hello,
I have a question about the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool:
when downloading the whole stuff, burning the .iso-images to CD, does all this need to be done on a clean computer?
What if my machine is eventually (you never know) somehow infected ?
Would an infected system somehow affect the creation and function of such a Norton-Rescue-Disc ?
So in my case I think, it would be nice to boot from the Original-Norton-NIS-CD-ROM and do the scans from a clean disc, but I have problem with my connection to update the virus definitions in this WinPE-mode. Is it somehow possible to downlaod manually the Norton-definitions, copy them to a NBRT-folder, so when I boot from the original disc, I would have the definitions up to date?
best regards
