NCrypt binary error messages

Lately I've been getting the following Windows error message almost daily.

NCrypt binary

NCrypt binary has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and
notify you if a solution is available. Followed by a Close program button

I have Norton 360 installed on my desktop with a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 21H2 Operating System, OS Build 19044.1348

I'm not used to getting Norton program error messages, especially for an executable program. I've used Norton Security and Norton 360 for quite a few years.

There could be some pending update that requires a system restart for your computer. Have you restarted your computer since seeing this message? Restart, not shutdown and start up again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. The file noted is related to Norton Crypto feature. Do you use that feature?
