Need a fix for Full Scan Error

I am running Norton Internet Security (8.5.2) on a macOS Catalina (10.15.1).  When I try to run Full Scan, it runs for about 5 seconds, then shows "scan error".  No code with it.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program twice.  I have rebooted a dozen times.  I have spent over an hour on the phone with Norton Support and nothing has been resolved by any of these methods.  Live Update and Quick Scan work fine, but not the Full Scan. I really need a solution to this problem.

Thanks for reporting in Norton Community Forums. Norton Security "Scan error" issue has been fixed with latest versions. Can you please update Norton Security to latest version and let us know the scan error issue status? 

All: I have asked for this post to be moved to the Norton for MAC boards where it will get proper visibility.
