I use Powershell to remotely monitor multiple PC's, not in a Domain. I would like to find a way to add a function that will monitor NIS and have it added to the existing report.
Things I wnt to monitor are:
are the definitions are up to date and if any recent viruses have been logged. Has anyone turned off the Firewall, antivirus monitoring etc..
I can't help with using powershell, I'm not sure thats possible.
But are you aware of the remote monitoring that is part of the program?
I use it to check the other systems in my house and it shows everything you asked for.
It's in the "Network Security Map" set it up on the left side then all the info shows under "details" when you select the remote computer you want to check.
None of the machines are on my network, so I cannot use that facility. I use powershell to monitor various other parts of the machines, so I was hoping to add Internet security to the list of things it monitored.
To moniter NIS remotely, you can use the norton management feature. You can log on to https://manage.norton.com with your norton account and view the status of all the norton products tied to your account. Make sure you have registered your norton product inorder to use the remote management feature. If you face any issues, please report back.
