Need e-mail address for forum folks who handle forum accounts

My original acount is messed up-can't login.

Can anyone\e supply an e-mail address- so I can contact the right folks to fix this problem?

Already sent Tony Weiss a private message. Is this sufficient?

Thanks

Hi,

That should be adequate. The other possibility is to talk with the customer service folks here:  http://us.norton.com/support/contact/contact.jsp?pvid=cs

They are very good at what they do

Hello rlmars13

Do you mean that your mynortonaccount.com is messed up and you can't log into it? Or do you mean your account to log into the Forum here?

Log in to Forums here

Is your problem  logging into the Forum a problem with the reCAPTCHA word verification process? Of course if you can't log into the forum right now then you won't be able to tell us, but if you eventually manage to log into the forum later on, could you tell us which part of the Forum login process produced the failure? Is your username not accepted? Is your password rejected? Is your reCAPTCHA word verification failing?

Thanks

Hello rlmars13

Can you tell us what the problem is that you are encountering? Usually, either Tony or one of the admins should be able to help with login issues for the Forum or one of the mods I think could help also.

Wont accept password, which I know is correct, and my emai address on the account is not currenr--so I cant reset account

Do you remember the e-mail address which you used when you set up your forum account? When you say that "the account is not current"  what do you mean? Do you mean that the account has now been closed down by your e-mail provider, or that you no longer remember the spelling of the e-mail address that you chose?

Is your e-mail from one of the free e-mail providers like hotmail, gmail etc?

The e-mail account in question -- can you still log in and check your e-mail?  If not, then can you contact your e-mail provider to see if you can re-set your e-mail password?

The easy way would be to use the Forgot password link  -- I had to do this a while back either for here or MyNortonAccount and it very quickly sent me a temporary PW which enabled me to log in and change my password.

See http://community.norton.com/t5/help/faqpage/faq-category-id/registration#registration

Tony may be preoccupied with the Norton 360 Public Beta .....

Gee it is simple,The original e-mail address was xxxx@verizon.net, it will no longer reach me as my e-mail is now xxxx@frontier.com

 Hi,

Sign in, go to My Settings on the top right,  then to Email.  You can change your details there.

Hope this helps.

If I am reading this correctly, then the OP wants to sign into an old Norton Community account and cannot do so because he/she does not remember the password and the email address has changed so cannot do the password reset option either.

rlmars13,

Please contact Customer Service at the link provided by DIck in this post. They can help you to gain access to your old account. Please note that CHAT is the best option for the quickest response.

Please let us know how it goes.

Best wishes.

Allen

Thanks Allen

HI rlmars13,

You are welcome. However, it may take some time to get a response via email. I suggested CHAT as the best option.

Hello

Does customer support  also handle login issues to this Forum? The user will also have to change the email address for his mynortonaccount, but he is asking about using his regular Forum account.now  I had asked if the issue was with his mynortonaccount and his reply is above.. Verizon sold a portion of their territory to Frontier. Looking back in the Forum Feedback area, it looks as if problems about logging into this Forum is taken care of  by the mods or admins of the Forum unless things have changed.

Yes this is about forum NOT Norton ACCOUNT (already changed to correct e-mail there) .

Does anyone have e-mail aqddress of Forum ADMIN-i KOW HOW TO CONTACT MODERATORS!

Yes, I know if is for the Community login as I myself also pointed out earlier.

I think Customer Service might still be able to deal with it or know how to get someone who does have the access to deal with it.;

rlmars13, you said you sent a PM to Tim who I know can take care of this. I was  hoping Customer Service could also do something for you but for sure Tim can.

How long ago did you send the PM? You need to give it some time. Tim is quite busy. If you don't get any response in a reasonable amount of time I can contact someone from Symantec on your belhalf.

Best wishes.

Allen

I already flagged your message to moderators back when you mentioned Tony and asked if they could handle it so it looks as if they could not and it needs the higher level intervention.

But my Forget Password does not depend on whether you did forget it or not ....

Have you tired logging into the Forum using your old email address and password; going to where the HELP file I linked you to indicated and changing your email address there to the correct one and either confirming/leaving the password or changing it if you want to.

If you can't access the forums using your old email address and the password you say you have not forgotten then let us know and I'll try again to get someone to help. Tim Lopez was off line for a couple of weeks for personal reasons ...... he may not have caught up with his email!
