I have a Dell Latitude D610 running XP Pro SP3. I have Norton S&R 2 installed. It has an 100Gb HD which seems to have failed. Recently, when booting up I got an error code stating: "A disk read error occurred press Ctrl + Alt+ Del to restart.". Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del did not work so I loaded an old 40Gb HD that is fully loaded with XP and my applications and it works! I have numerous backups of the 100Gb drive since I backup my computer 2X/week. I need help loading a backup (restore point) or loading the old 100Gb HD data onto a new 100Gb HD. I would really appreciate any help or advice. Thanks.
