Hi,
Our company developes software. We will release in a few months.
We have released beta builds to beta testers, and some have found "false positives" detected by Norton 360.
We submitted these to Norton and Norton has fixed them.
We would like to "Whitelist" our software release.
Here is the Whitelist request form:
https://submit.symantec.com/whitelist/isv/new/
The form requres the size of the installer.
But we make a new pre-release build every day, so the size changes daily.
Q1. Should we apply for the whitelist with a pre-release version of our software, and then again when our release is published.
Or should we apply only after the release is published?
Q2. Also, We provide an InstallShield installer for download.
We package it as a single self extracting exe file.
In the Whitelist form, the size of the installer is asked for.
Do we provide the size of the self extracting exe file?
Or the size of the Install Shield setup files (which includes the setup.exe and .cab files etc)
Q3. Also, the sefl extracting installer exe is digitally signed, but the InstallShield setup files are not.
So do we answer Yes to the question
"Is the installer digitally signed?"
Thanks for your help,
